Position Title: Sales & Marketing Associate
Reports to: Sales & Marketing Manager
Working and supporting the marketing and sales function, this position affords the successful candidate the opportunity to experience and assist with a wide gambit of sales and marketing activities including but not limited to:
•Advertising – Involvement in planning, executing tactics for design to media placement
•PR – Working in conjunction with the Resort’s PR agency, candidate would work with Journalists, Bloggers and other interest groups on a one-to-one basis as well as event and promotional activities for media
•Direct Marketing & Sales Promotions – Planning and executing a variety of local and national campaigns for Hotel, Golf and Spa
•Collateral Design & Development – involvement in design and proofing of large scale pieces plus a project leads on some short life pieces
•Database Management – Reviewing, Managing, Updating and Utilising a variety on resort databases
•Online Research & Social Media – Working with existing customers and potential customer online to ascertain views of the resorts offering – e.g. Trip Advisor. Plus interacting through a variety of social media platforms with customers.
•Events Development & Implementation – direct hands-on involvement in event planning and implementation – e.g. wedding showcases
•Research – design and implementation of a variety of qualitative and quantative research projects
•Reports – completion of a variety of financial and marketing reports for Sales & Marketing Manager information
•Customer Contact & Service – direct contact with individual and group representative regarding service delivery and sales (this aspect will only occur after initial period of successful placement)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Excellent written & spoken English
• Computer skills especially Word, Outlook, Excel etc. Also, a knowledge of social networking is key.
• Ability to work on initative
• Show creative and proactive flair
• Illustrate customer focus at all times
This position is unpaid. However, there are some benefits and ,more importantly, we promise to provide you with invaluable experience within the hotel/golf/leisure industry. The position includes a 3-day working week during a six to nine month period.
